Review: Faded Perfection

Faded Perfection Faded Perfection by Cassandra Giovanni
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book hit really close to home on how it feels when someone you love is gone. You truly do lose yourself and sometimes those around you until you finally have to break away and find yourself. River and Adam are both drowning with no way to help each other. With the loss of one life, River loses two more people that mean so much to her in the process. River finally finds herself breaking free and with the help of new friends, she finds herself all over again, her true self. Life is too short to never find your true self even when things seem hopeless. Cassandra Giovanni captured my heart both in the first book and this one. I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Review: End Game

End Game End Game by Emersyn Vallis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Mea, Lexi, Chase, Morgan, Dean, Molly, Simon, and Sidney set out to uncover the rest of the truth and find the unexpected. Lives are on the line and things get very tricky but with Sidney's impulsive thinking, with the help of an unexpected ally, things fall into place even when it becomes rocky. Loved the way everyone gets their happily ever after in the end. Emersyn Vallis really drew me in and kept me on the edge of my seat with this last book of the series.

I received this book for an honest review.

Review: Charming

Charming Charming by Victoria Danann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Charming finally gets his story and I am in awe. Life isn't easy, especially when you're the leader of humans and hybrids alike, add in the new hybrids and things getting even more tricky. Now I'm wanting more about Raze, Dread, and Ember. Loved Ana's attitude and how fast she learns. Loved seeing Rosie again even for the brief moment. Victoria Danann really knows how to hook me and never let me go.

Review: All's Fair: Love & Warlocks

All's Fair: Love & Warlocks All's Fair: Love & Warlocks by Tami Lund
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

All's Fair: Love & Warlocks by Tami Lund - Adanna, marked as a Supreme Witch, not sure if she even wants the position. Anton, sent by another Supreme Witch, to do her bidding. When the two meet, things start to heat up and other things start to go wrong. Adanna finds out things she wasn't prepared for and her heart gets involved. Anton suddenly has a change of heart when he realizes he does want to do the bidding of his own Supreme Witch. This book in the box set was hard to put down. Tami Lund did an amazing job painting a picture for me to feel as though I am right there in the story.

Broken Dreams by Rissa Blakeley

Take a bite of Broken Dreams by Rissa Blakeley.

Start the #ShatteredLives series today for only 99cents.

*~*~*

The screaming was turning panicky, and I could hear people scrambling. I burst through the door and all I saw was our family and friends running around like maniacs. I was looking for Henry when I locked eyes with my Maid of Honor/best friend, Claire James, who was running toward the corridor where my father and I were waiting.

She was beautiful in her Tiffany blue dress. It looked stunning against her pale skin and ginger hair. The bridesmaid’s dress color was my choice. Only after hours of pissing and moaning did my mother finally relent to the blue. Claire was barreling toward me. “Oh, my god, Elaina! Oh, my god!” She grabbed me and started sobbing.

“I’m going to go find your mother.” My dad ran his hand over my shoulder and took off into the congregational area. All of our family and friends were running around, freaking out, trying to get out of the church. I could hear this weird growling/snarling sound, coupled with the screaming. I still couldn’t see where the sounds were coming from. I grabbed Claire by the shoulders and shook her.

“Claire, what the fuck is going on?”

Review: Hanging Pawns

Hanging Pawns Hanging Pawns by Emersyn Vallis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was Josh and Mea's story and it shed a little bit more light on what is going on in the series. Again, Grams is still my ultimate favorite with the way she talks. It brings to light a lot of Mea's story not so much on Josh's story and pulls together a few more pieces of Sidney's story. Emersyn Vallis is still holding me in her world and wanting to know more.

Review: Adjournment

Adjournment Adjournment by Emersyn Vallis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This started off slow and confusing and left me with a lot of questions. This first book in the series does pick up later in the book and you start to see things unfold but not to fast. I have to say Grams is my most favorite character, she had me laughing quite a bit and reminding me of a few people in my own family. The 3 sisters and the triplets go on like brothers and sisters at times and made me laugh out loud on a few parts with their antics even though the sisters are fighting their own attraction towards the triplets and the triplets are not backing down. Emersyn Vallis pulled me into her world after a while and held me there. I can't wait to read what comes next.

I was given this book for an honest review.

Review: Witch's Sacrifice

Witch's Sacrifice Witch's Sacrifice by Crissy Moss
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Little Mother works hard to save those that are being labeled as witches whether they are or not. Saving Marizza and bringing her to her little island to train her becomes more difficult when events are set in motion. Brother Hawk just wants his revenge and just might have the chance with Little Mother. Marizza and her love Artiro find peace in what they have to do to save their precious little Okira. Crissy Moss really pulled me in and kept me at the edge of my seat with this one. I can't wait to see what happens next with Okira, Little Mother, and Brother Hawk.

Review: Fire Wolf: CINAED

Fire Wolf: CINAED Fire Wolf: CINAED by Victoria Danann
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cinaed and Starfire start out on the wrong note and things kinda progress from there. Then when they are thrown together for an adventure with an unexpected outcome things get rocky. Fate and realization have a way of slapping you in the face when least expected. Victoria Danann's books are like taking a walk into the woods on a beautiful misty day, you never know what to expect.

Sucks that mine turns out to be Katherine D’Arcy––hot as hell, but the very definition of country-club living and everything I came to this quiet little island to escape. The last thing I need is some live-life-by-her-day-planner summer girl screwing with my head, but I can’t stop thinking about her…those curves, silky brown hair, and those eyes…I left that privileged world behind when I came up to Little Bear Island hoping for some inspiration to write my songs. But here I am still, two years later, unable to write crap. That is until Katherine showed up to tend the lighthouse for the summer and drive me crazy. With her here, the writing has never been better. If only there weren’t that one inconvenient truth I’ve been keeping from her… Because when she learns what I’ve been hiding, I know I will lose her forever.

Review: Mixed Blood

Mixed Blood Mixed Blood by Grace Lynn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Shy's doing the only thing he feels he is good at and that's fighting to keep his family, friends, and Dark (Drow) Elf kin safe from Orcs and the unknown. Coming face to face with a snow dragon is terrifying and exhilarating all at once until things take a turn for the worse. A'teir, a Snow Elf and also a fighter, always thought of having a mate to share his life with but unbeknownst to him fate had other things planned for him. Typically none of the elf race thought very highly of the Dark Elves but when A'teir and Shy come together and sparks ignite things get a bit complicated for the two of them.
Prejudice is so high in the world and Grace Lynn pulls this into her story showing that things can be different and that not all people out there are like that.

Review: Rose's Rebel

Rose's Rebel Rose's Rebel by Charlotte Abel

Rose has been through so much in such a short time that she isn't sure she believes in mates and all that anymore. When Noah starts making a constant appearance in her life things seem to brighten up for her until Lazarus shows up and puts a damper on things. Things seem to go from bad to worse in a matter of weeks and Noah and Rose are at a loss of what to do. They are faced with a choice and neither of them want to chose. Charlotte Abel has really captured me in all of her series but this one really grabs me and doesn't let go. I can't wait to read more of this series.
